Ellen McCoy McGuirk, prior to co-founding TrendSpotters, spent 19 years building and driving marketing and sales teams with various organizations including Dow Chemical and Allied Signal. Her experience includes leading a $500 million global sales and marketing team, and directing strategic planning and business development for six businesses that comprised a $1 billion division of Allied Signal. She has also led product development, customer service and technical service groups. Ellen helped lead the mergers and acquisitions team that resulted in the fourth largest acquisition in Allied Signal history. Industry experience includes 5 years in plastics and chemicals, and 10 years in electronics covering circuitry, assembly and semiconductors/optics. Ellen serves on corporate advisory boards and is active in serving her local church.
Alynne Mann began her career with 5 years in aviation at Rockwell International, including experience in international marketing, sales delivery, and customer service. After leaving Rockwell, she spent the next several years as Director of a trade association in the non-profit sector. Alynne has devoted the past 17 years to the software industry with experience in sales management, marketing, strategic planning, alliances strategy and relationship management. As part of the management team that launched Lawson Software’s successful healthcare vertical initiative, she was responsible for developing the alliance strategy and key relationships with organizations such as Ernst & Young and Deloitte & Touche. The efforts of this team resulted in Lawson’s rapid dominance of the healthcare ERP market space. Alynne is active in serving her local church. Together with Ellen McCoy, she co-founded TrendSpotters in July of 2001.
